SSC CHSL preparation tips by subject wise
English Language
- As a major part of the English portion, read and prepare at least one comprehension per day.
- Try to comprehend the rationale behind the passage and what the most appropriate phrase for the blank appears to be for the cloze test. You can simply find the solutions to the remaining questions if you fill in one blank exactly.
- Once you've finished reading the passage, go back and read it again. After that, read the question first and then search up the passage for the answer; this will save you time.
- Practice fresh groups of words every day by directing to the dictionary or making notes of terms you hear or read around you for synonyms and antonyms.
- To acquire a good score on the English part, it's a good idea to brush up on your basic grammatical standards.
- It is recommended that all applicants read newspapers every day in order to improve their vocabulary.
