What is UPTET?
The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) is held once a year to recruit teachers for primary (classes I-V) and upper primary (VI-VIII) levels in Uttar Pradesh schools. Every year, more than 15 lakh students take the UPTET test, which is divided into two shifts:
Paper 1 is for candidates who want to teach at the primary level.
Paper 2 is for candidates who want to teach in a middle school.
For people looking for teaching positions in government schools, the UPTET credential is required. This certificate is also useful if you want to apply to private institutions in the state of Uttar Pradesh. In 2018, a total of 18.25 million people applied, with around 17 million people taking the exam.
Eligibility Criteria
